Tele-Supervision for Georgia Counselor Supervisees

Elana Dunn Providing Counselor SupervisionElana Dunn, MEd, LPC, CPCS —
Georgia Counselor Supervisor

Thank you for considering me to be your clinical supervisor, mentor, and teacher as you strive towards becoming independently licensed to practice in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Georgia Counselor Supervision

I provide telesupervision to counselors who are seeking to become independently licensed as an LPC in Georgia, through the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. Supervisees must have already passed the NCE or and are eligible to become a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) or hold a LAPC in the State of Georgia. Yes, counselor supervision is required for licensure, but I believe basic ‘supervising’ is a bare minimum of what quality supervision should entail. Supervision is a safe space for you to find your personal counseling style, develop and sharpen your clinical skills, find your ‘place’ in the field, and more. I have a passion for developing sharp, highly-knowledgable, highly-skilled clinicians.

Telesupervision is the term for clinical supervision conducted by using technology such as live-video conferencing, telephone communication, secure messaging, and secure email. My online counseling and counselor supervision practice utilize lean technological systems to operate, and connect with Supervisees, efficiently and effectively from my remote office in metro Atlanta.

My Philosophy & Style

You will find that I use an innovative, progressive, and engaging approach to supervision that is highly individualized while using a live-video conference group format. Your experience in supervision should be a consistently enlightening experience. Supervision involves a meaningful sharing of information with your group peers and me as your Supervisor. This philosophy is meant to propel your transformation in professional counselor development and independent psychotherapy practice. Supervisees have described me as open, transparent, engaging, attentive, accessible, supportive, and highly knowledgeable about a variety of clinical practice areas. I also adjust and stay attuned to the unique learning style of you as a Supervisee.

I have been providing LPC licensure supervision since 2005.
